How does paper beat rock? IT DOESN'T!!!

You know what i want to know? like honestly?
How the hell does Paper beat rock? I don't get it.
I understand how scissors can beat paper, and I get how rock can be scissors, but there is no fucking way paper can beat rock. Is paper supposed to magically wrap around rock and leave it immobile? Why the hell can't paper do this to scissors? Screw scissors, why can't paper do this to people?? Why aren't sheets of college ruled notebook paper constantly suffocating students as the take notes in class? I will tell you why, because paper can't beat anybody. Paper sucks ass. A rock would tear that shit up in 2 seconds. When I play rock paper scissors I always choose rock. Then when somebody claims to have beaten me with their paper, i can punch them in the face with my already clenched fist anf say, "Oh shit. I'm sorry, i thought paper would protect you, you asshole."

I actually have no idea what I'm going to have her do, (i'm still waiting to get a spot in lol)

I have a bunch of tattoo's i know for sure i want, but i know she specializes in portraits, and nothing i want is a portrait.

but she also does amazing wording so I'm 80% sure I'm going to have her do my harry potter [yes, I'm that nerdy...] tattoo, which is going to be on my upper back and it will be "I solemnly swear I am up to no good" and then under and to the right "Mischief Managed" with some other harry potter elements [marauders map feet prints, some fancy harry pottery elements. lol.
